Unable to sell to EU customers (IOSS, import VAT, Etsy)

I am sorry that I am no longer taking orders in the Inked Adventures Etsy store from customers in EU countries in Europe, due to repeated failings in the new IOSS import tax system which means those customers are having items delayed and being charged tax twice plus extra handling charges. Etsy’s IOSS registration details are not being recognised by local post services. I can no longer afford to provide refunds for the overpayments of import tax. Hopefully this situation will be resolved soon. This limitation is only with physical items which I sell in my Etsy store: cards and dice trays. Digital downloads from DriveThru and the OBS sites are unaffected. UK customers can still enjoy free first class delivery.

UPDATE 5th January 2022

** EU Europe Customers please be advised: I am now taking orders again from customers in EU Europe.  Failings in the new IOSS import tax system EU customers may have items delayed and will be charged tax twice plus extra handling charges.  I have taken advice from both Etsy and Royal Mail, but my customers are still charged.  I am no longer able to offer refunds for the overpayment of import tax and the situation is beyond my control.  ** WM.
